Student Loan Limits

Overdue Book Policy

To maintain check-out privileges, student library accounts must be up to date. Unfortunately, this means students with overdue library materials will not be able to check-out until items are returned or renewed. Please reinforce the importance of responsible book return.

While students are not fined for late library materials, they are responsible for lost or damaged library items.  Lost or damaged items can be replaced with a new hardcover copy of the same book title or the full listed replacement cost can be paid. Cash or checks made out to Peter Kirk Elementary are acceptable forms of payment.

Amazing Reading Challenge

The Amazing Reading Challenge (ARC) is open to all 4th and 5th grade students for the 2024-25 school year. Additional information will be shared with interested students and their families in Fall 2024.

To do this, library instruction will focus on building student research skills, maintaining digital wellness, exploring informational text, and encouraging a lifelong love of reading.
